Arkansas girl, 4, tumbles out of the back of a moving school bus

A 4-year-old girl in Arkansas is miraculously alive after falling out of the back of a school bus as the vehicle continued barreling down the road.

The harrowing incident, which left the child hospitalized, was captured on a volunteer firefighter’s dash camera as he was driving down highway 65 in Harrison.

In the video, the rear door of the bus flies open and a child falls hitting the ground. The bus driver, apparently unaware the child fell out, keeps going.

Ryan Ciampoli, a firefighter and licensed EMT, saw the incident and immediately stopped his car to see if the toddler was OK.

Ciampoli is seen on the dash camera scooping the girl up in his arms and carrying her to safety.

He told News Channel 8 that the girl was unconscious at first, but woke up.

According to the outlet, the little girl had accidentally unlatched the back door of bus. She broke her jaw during the fall and will have to undergo surgery but is expected to make a full recovery.

Ciampoli said the bus driver returned to the scene 15 minutes after the girl fell out.
